The MiniAdditions Collection

Our MiniAdditions Collection is a compact collection designed for all those assisting first graders as they learn to read:  reading specialists, Title I teachers and grade 1 teachers.  This collection features 50 titles ranging upward from Reading Recovery level 6 from top publishing companies arranged by Reading Recovery levels.

The MiniAdditions Collection contains books from five different publishers.  Not limited to offerings from one company, we select the best that each company offers.  New readers benefit by seeing different fonts, styles and layouts.  We include both fiction and non-fiction titles, as well as various genres.  Collections are culturally diverse and gender fair.

The books in the MiniAdditions Collection span Reading Recovery levels 6 through 18.  Although designed for students at risk of reading failure, this collection is appropriate for nearlhy all ability ranges in a typical grade 1 classroom.  (The larger and more comprehensive Additions collection includes books at levels 1 through 5.)  You can easily monitor growth as children progress from one level to another.  When children underperform, you can intervene sooner and quickly get them back on track.
