The Mini Jason Collection (Grade 1)

The SongLake Books Mini Jason Collection includes 127 books:  6 copies each of 21 paperback titles and 1 hardcover biography.  These titles have been hand-picked from approved publishers and reorganized into guided reading sets for classrooms, Title I, and new federal programs such as RTI, i3, et al.  They are also ideal for bookrooms.

Books in the Mini Jason Collection span guided reading levels D–G where the bulk of instruction occurs in a typical grade 1 classroom.  Different genres at each level offer you more flexibility in choosing titles of interest to your students.

Frank Asch's hardcover biography, One Man Show (Level O), and 6 copies of his Just Like Daddy are included in this bookset.  Children are eager to read additional Frank Asch works and try their own hand at writing!

All titles included in this collection can be found in Fountas and Pinnell's Booklist K–8+.  Each collection comes with two lists.  One list is arranged by levels.  The other list is arranged alphabetically.  Word counts are included to assist in book selection and scoring of running records.
